Job Description
The Sales Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and expanding strategic sales plans based on company goals. Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration by effectively selling the company’s products to the retail and food service markets primarily along with private label and branded markets. This position reports directly to CEO.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and achieve strategic sales and marketing plans and objectives that conform to company’s revenue goals and strategic initiatives.
- Understand customer business needs. Build strategies to drive mutually beneficial results.
- Manage annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets. Establish a plan for achieving them.
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Manage, and communicate with sales reps and brokers to elevate sales, and deliver effective presentations & training
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Evaluate, analyze, and improve the effectiveness of the sales and marketing process and systems.
- Take action in innovation pipeline with extensive involvement of R&D, product design, manufacturing, brand strategy, sales/marketing implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales and marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
- 3-5 years of CPG/food service experience with proven success in attaining ambitious sales goals.
- Natural & organic food experience required. Familiarity with baked goods a plus
- Innovative and enthusiastic leader. Can get his/her hands dirty and motivate a team.
- Prior leadership experience scaling a fast-growing business within a start-up environment.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office
- Skilled with technology, social media and open to learning new programs to elevate the business
- Experience building & managing a team.
- Willing to travel up to 30 - 50% (including nights and weekends).
- Takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests improvements.
