What are the responsibilities and job description for the BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT TEAM MEMBER position at Wissahickon Charter School?
Wissahickon Charter School is seeking Behavioral Support Team (BST) members. Behavioral Support Team members use a variety of strategies to improve specific behaviors and support students to greater independence and emotional stability. BST staff must be willing to work with students from K-8 with a variety of different needs. Candidates should have experience supporting students in classrooms and should also possess good track record of attendance and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support student's behavior across all environments of the school, including inclusion classes, transitions and recess.
- Provide one-on-one instruction and interventions in behavior / social skills.
- Maintain documentation including daily notes for primary students
- Solve problems on the spot
- Have ideas for changing behaviors in the long run
- Maintain sensitive, confidential information
- Work collaboratively with the education teams
- Participate in relevant professional development
Qualifications
Compensation :
This is an hourly position that pays a rate of $17 / hour. The hours for the position are Monday-Friday, 8 am to 3 : 30 pm when school is in session. This position includes fully employer-paid individual medical and vision benefits.
