What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Safety Coordinator position at WissenPro LLC?
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Field Safety Coordinator is to provide health, safety and environmental support for all employees in field operations and at our Pecos and Midland facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret customer contractor safety policies and procedures to ensure alignment and compliance
- Assist in customer required safe work permitting for employees (Lock Out Tag Out, etc.).
- Instruct in-house safety required training for employees (H2S, Fit Testing, First Aid/CPR, Smith Driver, etc.)
- Conduct walk-through inspections of field job sites to identify and eliminate hazardous conditions and unsafe.
- Organizes and prepares the delivery of safety meetings and training.
- Ensure employees follow safe work procedures as specified in Bold’s HSE Manual, tool-box meetings, OSHA standards, and all required training.
- Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous safety conditions and environmental risks. * Make recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.
- Responds to and conducts accident investigations and injury/accident case management. * Responsible for partnering with HR & regional managers on employee issues and/or concerns (e.g., on-boarding questions, code of conduct, etc.)
- Responsible for conducting new hire safety orientation training as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a Safety position in the oil and gas industry
- Computer knowledge – specifically the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and proprietary databases.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and implement company and OSHA safety regulations and standards.
- OSHA 510 or OSHA 30 Hour Course.
- Ability to interpret evaluation results/feedback and adjust to improve performance. * Must be able to read, write & communicate in English.
- Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job.
- Basic knowledge of atmospheric testing requirements and use of four gas monitors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and training facilitation abilities.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Flexibility to respond to emergency situations as needed.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license along with the ability to operate personal vehicles for business use for up to 5 hours per day.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions for several hours at a time.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
