What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Service Technician position at WissenPro LLC?
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician who will be responsible for performing service calls including, but not limited to, the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The Fire Alarm Service Technician is accountable for installing and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effective manner to ensure minimum down time and maximum performance. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth while assuring a professional and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, dependable, and possess great interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Responds to customer’s service related issues promptly and must have the ability to effectively deal with customers, some that will require high levels of patience’s.
- Maintain the ability to effectively communicate the needs required to complete scope of work to all parties responsible for portions effecting the timely completion of that scope.
- To operate, test, trouble shot, program fire alarm systems and documentation required to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
- The ability to effectively hand and computer program fire alarm panels commonly installed.
- Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment.
- Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.
Training and Certification Requirements:
- The Fire Alarm Systems Technician shall possess a two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. A working knowledge of computers and communications systems is required. You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Employee must have a means of communicating via ISP for VPN connection. NICET level II.
