Who We're Looking For

We are in search of an innovative Founding Machine Learning / Computer Vision Engineer who will spearhead the development of our immersive memory processing pipeline. This role plays a crucial part in transforming user-captured videos into engaging, replayable 3D experiences.

Lead the design, prototyping, development, and deployment of our processing pipeline, enhancing our existing implementation. At the outset, you will integrate and optimize open-source models and traditional CV techniques to elevate the quality of our immersive memories.
Research and implement new methods to enrich raw capture data and convert 2D videos into immersive experiences, focusing on depth estimation, neural rendering, inpainting, and more.
Collaborate closely with the team to ensure seamless app deployment, maintaining high performance and reliability for a magical user experience.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of R&D and product development. You’ll make an immediate impact on the company, encouraged to take initiative and balance quick wins with long-term goals.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in machine learning and computer vision, with practical experience in both research and production settings. Advanced degree or equivalent experience required. You should be well-versed in 3D reconstruction techniques, depth estimation, and neural rendering, as well as have familiarity with pose estimation and inpainting.

Skilled in ML CV frameworks such as PyTorch and OpenCV, along with strong mathematical abilities in 3D mathematics, linear algebra, and vector operations.

A strong passion for building and scaling a startup during its formative phases.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience managing ML pipelines that include video data and performance optimization.

Proficiency in preparing and managing training data , including generation of synthetic data.

A publication history in relevant academic journals or conferences.

Competence in additional technologies such as CUDA, sensor fusion, CoreML, ARKit, Unity, and others related to image / video processing and augmented / virtual reality.

Competitive salary ranging from $120k to $170k based on skillset, along with equity options (up to 3.5%).
