Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Tour Guide to join our team. As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for leading groups of visitors on tours, providing them with interesting and educational information about the location or attraction. Our tours run rain or shine. If you have a passion for history, culture, and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Lead guided tours of the location or attraction, ensuring an engaging and informative experience for visitors
- Provide historical, cultural, and factual information about the site or attraction
- Answer questions from visitors and provide additional information as needed
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the tour
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with visitors
- Assist with crowd management and ensure that all participants can hear and see the tour guide
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of tours
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance visitor satisfaction
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Tour Guide or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Strong leadership skills to effectively guide and manage groups of visitors
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate and engage visitors
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
- Proficient in public speaking to deliver information clearly and confidently
- Strong time management skills to keep tours on schedule
