Are you an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and events? We’re seeking a Full-Time Year-Round Catering Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa, located on the beautiful coast of Bar Harbor, Maine.
In this role, you’ll coordinate catering services for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings, ensuring every event is flawlessly executed. This is a key leadership role during our peak season, with 50-hour workweeks from May to October, making your presence during these months crucial. The position starts at $24 per hour, with a target start date in mid-March.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate catering services for a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
- Maintain communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Manage event timelines, menu selections, and setup details.
- Process deposits and payments, maintain accurate event records, and provide final billing.
- Assist in creating proposals and marketing strategies for catering services.
- Supervise on-site catering staff during events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A minimum of two years in a food & beverage-related position with supervisory capacity.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word is strongly recommended.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Performance Measurement:
- 90-day performance review, successful event coordination, and client satisfaction feedback.
