The position is available as Full-Time Seasonal or Part-Time Seasonal, giving you the flexibility to work in one of Maine’s most stunning locations during the vibrant tourist season.
As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the friendly face and helpful voice that guests first encounter. From checking guests in and out to answering questions, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional guest experience. Guided by the General Manager, you’ll be a resource for local information and a point of contact for any guest needs.

You’ll be working your magic on a seasonal basis at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. The schedule will vary and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The starting wage is $16 per hour.

Essential Duties
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Manage check-ins, check-outs, and room reservations.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
- Provide information about the hotel, local attractions, and activities.
- Process payments accurately and maintain records.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs.
- Monitor and respond to phone calls and emails.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with computer systems and reservation software (training provided).
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and tasks.
Education and Experience
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate.
Performance Measurement
- 90-day performance review, guest feedback, and teamwork evaluation.
