Job Summary
Performs technical support of all Pharmacy services, which require development of skills to complete a Pharmacy Technician Certification program and become licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Indiana. A Pharmacy Technician will need to be able to effectively function within all areas of Pharmacy operations including the development of competencies to interpret and enter Physician orders / prescriptions into computers, accurately utilize Pharmacy automation technology as well as some manual systems to provide optimum drug distribution, safely prepare sterile IV preparations, perform Pharmacy billing / crediting functions, manage drug inventory and distribution, be able to problem solve, communicate effectively and assist the Pharmacist where needed.

Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required plus a combination of training and work experiences which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities listed in this position description.
- Indiana State Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Tech In-Training license required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required within 1 year of hire.
- Must be 18 years of age and have a high school (or equivalent) diploma.
