Job Summary
Responsible for providing professional care for the pulmonary compromised patient through the use and implementation of the process of assessment, planning, evaluation, and re-evaluation of care by applying the Respiratory scope of practice via guidelines, policies & protocols. . The Respiratory Care Practitioner/Respiratory Therapist is to take an active role in the direction of the care and education of the patient and significant others to obtain and maintain an optimal level of health. The Respiratory Care Practitioner/Respiratory Therapist is a contributing member of the Multidisciplinary Health Care Team and Rapid Response Team. Must be able to communicate the needs of the patient/significant other to all disciplines involved in the patient's hospitalization and rehabilitation. Must support the vision and values of Witham Health Services.

Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- Must have current State Licensure in Respiratory Therapy and be a graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory therapy and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
- Will accept Certified Respiratory Therapist but must pass Registry by the NBRC within two years of hire date.
- Preferred education: CPR, NRP, PALS and ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
