Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Observer to join our Construction Administration Sector. This critical role involves on-site construction coordination and observation, primarily focusing on utility construction projects such as treatment plants and pump stations. The Sr. RPR will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include comparing work products to the approved plans and specifications, observing and documenting construction activities, relaying critical information. The Sr. RPR will leverage technical data from drawings and field notes to address field issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities for utility projects, including treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, identify deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison between contractors, engineers, and primary stakeholders, resolving issues effectively.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, reports, photographs, and as-built records.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, RFIs, and change orders as delegated by the Project Manager.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations at the job site.

Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in heavy construction, specializing in utilities installation and/or observation.
- Proven expertise in treatment plant and pump station construction.
Preferred credentials include:
- Certified Water Treatment Operator (CWO)
- Certified Wastewater Treatment Operator
- Wastewater Collection System Operator Certification
- Distribution System Operator Certification
