Join our team as an Engineer in Training (Staff Professional II/III) within our Stormwater practice area. This is a hybrid role based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office.
In this role, you will assist in the planning, design, and analysis of stormwater management systems, watershed studies, and environmental compliance projects. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to develop technical reports, perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and contribute to sustainable water resource solutions.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience in stormwater management, flood mitigation, and drainage design. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in water resources engineering. Familiarity with modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar tools is preferred.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or field of expertise or equivalent experience
- 0-6 years of related experience in field of specialty
- Successful completion of FE Exam or ability to complete/pass the exam within one year of employment
- EI/EIT certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- Internships in field of expertise, preferred
- Exposure to or experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, Geopak, HEC-RAS, and/or SWMM is preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently?
- Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Understand planning and/or design concepts and methods
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail?
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to take direction and learn software applications
- Demonstrate personal investment in your career
