Within Design is a full service interior design firm working with National Builders on multi-family amenity spaces, hospitality projects and model homes for large scale residential developments, and is seeking experienced interior designers for our San Diego office.
We have immediate openings for creative and detailed interior design candidates with experience in visioning and concept development, with a high-level of knowledge of finishes/flooring and fabrication/installation methods. Knowledge of interior architecture is a plus too. Must also have solid working experience in FF&E sources for furniture, lighting, fabrics, drapery/wall covering, and a sound understanding of fabrication and work room processes.
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong portfolio of work demonstrating creative design concepts, well development visualization skills and strategic thinking.
- Proficient skills in CAD, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.
- Experience in producing detailed production and specification documents.
- A track record for working with budgets and executing designs quickly and effectively to achieve project deadlines.
- Good communication skills, articulating sound reasoning, problem solving and creative design solutions with clients and design team.
- An understanding and interest in new design trends.
- Proven ability to be involved and/or lead installations of projects.
- A Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited interior design program, or equivalent combination of education and experience interior design.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop and present design concepts using Power Point, CAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with Principal Designer and Project Manager to understand their needs and preferences.
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for interior spaces.
- Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and materials to enhance design solutions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
