Key Responsibilities
This Business Tax Senior Manager role is designed for individuals who excel in leading multiple engagements and supervising staff. Your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff and/or seniors for accuracy
• Researching and drafting memorandum involving complex tax matters
• Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities
• Handling and resolving tax controversies
• Overseeing complete tax research projects for various clients and diverse industries
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
Requirements
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Masters of Science in Taxation
• 8 years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to clients' management
