Duties
- Install and configure CCTV cameras, recording devices, and related equipment according to specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on existing systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CCTV systems, including wiring, connectivity, and software problems.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Read and interpret schematics to effectively install and repair equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installations.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies in surveillance systems and computer networking.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to installation tasks.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
- Ability to read schematics for effective installation and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in alarm system sales preferred.
- Familiarity with intrusion detection systems (IDS) is a plus.
- Basic locksmithing skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience in telecommunication systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of computer hardware related to surveillance technology is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
