Roles and Responsibilities :
Qualified professional contract staff to support the mission of HSI Office of Administrative Operations (OAO), Information Disclosure Unit (IDU), and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program. These qualified individuals will provide specific analytical support and perform analyses as a Management Analyst, and additional support, as needed, to further the mission of HSI. More specifically, OAO Taskings staff manage a variety of routine and complex requests for the review and sharing of information and data from external entities, to include Congress, as well as oversight and regulatory agencies, pertaining to HSI law enforcement activities. IDU acts as the primary liaison for litigation issues involving information maintained by HSI and coordinates with other agencies to ensure appropriate disclosure of jointly held information pertaining to matters of mutual interest. Furthermore, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Privacy Act, Executive Order, other applicable Federal law, ICE, and DHS Regulations is the fundamental concept underlying this effort, and the decision for final release of Federal Government documents / information resides solely with the Government chain of inspection. Contract staff are required to only assist in the processing of cases by conducting initial coordination, research and case processing, and information release recommendations as part of the Government approval process. The Management Analyst(s) will report to the senior leadership within OAO.
