Job Title: Power BI Developer (5 to 10 yrs) (Hybrid: 3 days/week)
We are seeking a talented Power BI Developer to join our R&D Data Insights team at an Industrial Automation Conglomerate. If you have a strong background in Power BI and Microsoft-centric ecosystems, we want to hear from you!
Experience: 5-10 years; Full-time, Hybrid role (Hybrid: 3 days/week)
Job Location: San Leandro, CA, Lake Forest, CA, Philadelphia, PA, United States
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering: Analyze and translate end-user requirements into actionable technical designs and implementations.
- Power BI Development: Design, develop, deploy, and manage Power BI reports leveraging Microsoft Fabric and associated tools.
- Prototypes & Mockups: Create prototypes and mockups to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Deployment Pipeline Management: Manage deployment pipelines and workspace management within Power BI Services.
- Data Integration: Work with data sources including Azure DevOps REST APIs, Excel, Azure SQL, and Fabric Lakehouses.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the R&D DevOps team to plan and coordinate development efforts.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Microsoft Fabric: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric, including its reporting and data management capabilities.
- Azure DevOps: Experience with Azure DevOps, particularly in work management and CI/CD processes.
- SQL Expertise: Proficiency in SQL, including writing stored procedures (SPs) and views.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git for version control and data integration.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of infrastructure-related development services.
- Project Management: Ability to manage projects with a business analyst mindset, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft Azure Data Factory: Experience with pipeline design and data integration.
- Advanced Power BI Visualization: Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques within Power BI.
