Operations Coordinator, Industrial & Emergency Response Services
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator, Industrial & Emergency Response Services at Ambipar Response is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects within the allotted timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Position Details

Essential Job Functions
- Communicates project related updates, issues, and change orders to management, customers, and regulatory agencies as applicable.
- Manages project budgets by planning and coordinating project resources to maximize profit margins.
- Assists Base Manager with logistics support, safety, and day-to-day operations.
- Collaborates with the Base Manager to conduct the monthly revenue forecasting and to manage profit and loss statements.
- Oversees completion of all project documentation and files with all requirements.
- Performance manages and ensures readiness of company personnel, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Ensures all projects are being completed following all health & safety policies/procedures including the use of PPE, and adherence to all federal, state, local, and agency requirements.
- Reports any incidents (this includes injuries, accidents, property damage, DOT Roadside Inspection, and/or DOT Citations) to Base Mgr, Regional Ops Mgr, & Regional VP immediately (or as soon as you are safely able to do).
- Conducts analysis of company operations and determines solutions to improve efficiency.
- Updates company training and compliance documents to improve efficiency.
- Up-Sales services and capabilities to obtain additional profitable revenue while on projects.
- Partners with account manager to conduct business development and customer engagement.
- Develops and maintains close professional working relationships with the customers serving as a main point of contact throughout the project.
- Prepares and submits detailed proposals by deadlines.
- Prepares and/or reviews project invoices to ensure that all billable items are captured.
- Manages the set-up and invoicing of vendors & subcontractors.
- Prepares Site Specific Health & Safety Plans, Work Plans, Project Permits (CSE, Excavation, LOTO, etc), Manifests, BOL’s, etc as required.
- Completes detailed Project Reports with Photologs.
- Attends Site Walks/Visits, meetings, and lunch-and-learns.

Mobilizes to an ER project if it involves any of the following:
- If the spill is in a water source (storm drain, sewer, creek, river, pond, etc)
- If the spill involves a chemical
- If a project involves a fire, chemical reaction, etc.
- Ensures we have a contract in place prior to mobilizing personnel for an ER.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from an accredited college or university. As an alternative, two (2) years of experience working in assigned technical discipline may be substituted for one (1) years of education (i.e., eight (8) years of relevant work experience is equal to a Bachelor’s degree).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of relevant experience.
- Experience with business process reviews and improvements.
- Experience presenting information to an array of audiences.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to analyze, summarize, and compile data and information.
- Ability to perform detail-oriented work.
- Proven ability to direct the work of staff from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets, and to manage a team to improve processes or systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication techniques, including in response to requests either internally or externally.
- Strong prioritization and time-management skills to balance ongoing responsibilities with urgent requests.
- This position may require extended periods of travel, working in inclement weather, and working extended hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Relevant Professional certification (i.e. PMP)
- 40 hours of OSHA training
Work Schedule
The standard working hours are 7 AM – 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
