Sales and Training Manager Job Description

Position Overview:

The Sales and Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales team, driving sales performance, and designing, implementing, and delivering training programs to enhance team skills and achieve business objectives. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on coaching to foster a high-performing sales team and ensure consistent product knowledge, customer service excellence, and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management:.

  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to maximize productivity and achieve individual and team targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other departments to align sales activities with company goals.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.

Training and Development:

  • Conduct role-playing exercises, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance sales techniques and communication skills.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge to integrate into training initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments to improve results.

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Set clear objectives, performance standards, and expectations for the sales team.
  • Provide regular feedback and performance reviews to support career development and address skill gaps.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and senior management to communicate insights and challenges.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by providing input on market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales management and training, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Industry-specific knowledge and experience may be required based on the company’s products or services.
  • Life/Health Insurance Licensed (Preferred)

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $82,035.00 - $89,667.00 per year
