Order Picker/Packer/Shipper
We are a fast-paced growing e-commerce company in Chantilly, Virginia. We sell products that collectors use to preserve, display and store their collections.
We are hiring full-time and part-time positions. We can offer flexible scheduling around school, other jobs or other scheduling issues. While most of our work is done between the hours of 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, we can accommodate some evening and weekend hours for both full-time and part-time employees if desired. Evening and weekend work is optional and is not required.
General Requirements:
We are seeking employees for our warehouse. These positions require standing/walking all day and are active, fast-paced roles. Most of the packages we ship are under 20 pounds but occasionally lifting 70 pounds may be required. We extensively utilize warehouse, order management and shipping software and are seeking team members with strong computer skills who can quickly learn the software.
The Order Picker/Packer/Shipper is an entry level warehouse position. Prior experience is not necessary. We are looking for candidates who:

Order Picker/Packer/Shipper Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
No experience needed.
Able to follow directions and specific procedures.
Order Picking:
Sort orders by zone/products for efficient picking.
Prioritize orders based on type of order.
Pick products from our warehouse based on quantity, SKU, model number and location codes shown on the order.
Order Packing:
Determine method of shipment, utilizing our in-house rate-shopping software.
Perform small packaging duties that can include specific requirements for packaging.
Record relevant information on orders for shipping including shipping method, dimensions, etc.
Speed and efficiency are especially desired in this role. We need candidates with high productivity.
Order Shipping:
Verify weight of order is correct.
Print all customer labels using appropriate software for shipping method.
Affix shipping labels on packed boxes.
Segregate labeled packages by carrier for efficient pickup at end of day
Note: Over time, all warehouse employees are trained on picking, packing and shipping orders and responsibilities for employees with more experience may alternate between these three duties from day-to-day depending on order volume and other resources.
