What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Live Event Stagehand position at WIZARD STUDIOS NORTH INC.?
CHIEF OBJECTIVES OF THIS POSITION
The Stagehand is an integral member of the Wizard Event team. They will provide support in setting up and striking various items for differently scaled Events. They are consummate team players who are also personable and client-focused. Must have good problem-solving skills that can be applied in various types of environments and situations and a desire to learn.
Reports to: Director of Production
Reporting Responsibility: Production, Operations, Creative Services
General Responsibilities:
- Being a strong team player is a critical skill in this position.
- Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of Wizard-provided Equipment and Services.
- Basic knowledge of audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, scenic, and electrical equipment.
- Demonstrate strong general problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.
- Provide excellent customer service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external clients.
- Maintain a positive relationship with all clients and team members through effective communication and a positive attitude.
- Portray a polished professional image to meet the company dress code and behavioral requirements.
- Work with Wizard Project Manager(s) to confirm all core deliverables are met.
- Properly secure, store, transport, and preserve company equipment.
- Participate in the physical inventory count process as requested.
- Complete set/strike lists and perform end-of-event inspection duties.
- Actively participate in continuous learning as directed by Leadership.
- Other duties as requested by management.

- Minimum High School diploma/GED, AA/BS preferred.
- Previous experience in Event Technology, Broadcast, or Theatrical Production is a plus.
- Flexible and long hours are sometimes required; and a rotating work schedule that may include nights and weekends.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 35 pounds without assistance.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period.
- OSHA10 or OSHA 30 a Plus
