What You'll Do:
- Generate and pitch a high volume of quality product ideas: we’re in the business of taking Magic into unexpected, memorable, head-turning, and funny new directions – help us figure out what those are.
- Write tight conceptual art briefs, translating the core product promise into concise directions artists can convert into appealing visuals that stay true to the central promise of the product.
- Write flavor text to appear on final cards, harmonizing with the art and elevating the final object.
- Write marketing copy to help explain and position the releases.
- Jump into all the weird new places we’re taking Secret Lair beyond the cards - help us build the entire brand experience.
- Work directly with outside brands to bring their IPs into Magic on our collaborative releases.
- A portfolio demonstrating impressive copywriting experience in a professional setting with a strong creative vision.
- Familiarity with Magic: The Gathering and Secret Lair
- Strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
- A passion for experimentation and expression.
- Ability to operate with diplomacy and communicate with respect while collaborating with external partners/approvers.
- A spirit of fearlessness and optimism; Secret Lair swings for the fences!
- Starting Pay Range: $86,900
- Pay Range End: $175,100
