We are currently hiring 1-3 teachers to support afterschool programs on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage a classroom with children between 4 yrs to 17 yrs old.
- Engage students in fun and relevant coding & robotics lessons based on established curriculum and specific classroom needs.
- Observe and track students’ progress and attendance.
- Reinforce positive student behavior and session rules.
- Maintain a positive relationship with all students, families and staff.
- Communicate with management to discuss participant progress, needs, and concerns.
- Attend meetings and professional development training organized by management.
- Present ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise.
Qualifications (Required):
- Experience teaching or working with children in a classroom or educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Patient, enthusiastic, and creative approach to teaching, with a passion for inspiring curiosity and problem-solving in children.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively execute lessons and activities.
- Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address varying needs.
- A clear background check.
Qualifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Experience with Legos, robotics, Minecraft, Roblox, gaming, coding, and other technology platforms.
- Experience with Google Classroom and Google office products.
- Bachelor's degree or advanced education in computer science, education, or a related field.
- Florida teaching certification.
- CPR and first aid certification.
Work Environment
This Instructor will primarily work in a classroom, interacting directly with children and collaborating with other instructors. The position will involve travel to schools and community centers where programs are held. The work schedule may vary depending on program needs, including evenings and weekends for classes and special events such as summer camps though most classes will take place in the afternoons Monday through Friday.
Pay Range
$20-$26/hour plus performance-based bonus of up to 10%.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
