We are seeking a motivated and reliable Counter Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will split your time between handling warehouse operations and providing top-notch customer service at the counter. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive the products they need while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the counter with inquiries, orders, and product recommendations.
- Process customer orders accurately, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
- Operate forklifts (reach truck, stand-up, sit-down) to move and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure forklifts are operational and safe.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying and stocking incoming deliveries.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational and customer service goals.
Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and material handling.
- Customer service experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift operation experience (certification is a plus).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and recording inventory movements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
