POSITION SUMMARY With direct supervision from a Lead Mechanic, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Mechanic performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components; refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air brake systems; general engine work; HVAC components; and suspension, drive train and steering systems.

Responsibilities
- Perform advanced repair and maintenance tasks on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks specifically during the 2nd shift in Bossier City, LA, US.
- Specialize in repairing chassis components, and maintaining refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air brake systems.
- Demonstrate expertise in engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems, in addition to HVAC components.
- Utilize electronic tools for identifying malfunctions and executing complex repair duties both on-site and on the road.
- Engage in all relevant Company training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and equipment.
- Be ready to undertake various assigned tasks and contribute positively to the community and the environment.
- While waste hauling experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory for this role.
- To be eligible for the Mechanic 2nd Shift role in Bossier City, LA, US, possessing a valid Driver’s License is a must.
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience working on heavy-duty trucks as a technician.
- Proficiency in independently conducting inspections and repairs on various heavy truck and automotive systems is a key requirement for this position.
- While holding ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) is beneficial, it is not obligatory.
- Previous exposure to LNG and/or CNG is considered advantageous although not obligatory.
- Having a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License would be advantageous, but it is not a compulsory requirement.
