Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to become part of our team in Fruitville. The perfect candidate will possess a solid skill set in identifying and repairing various heavy machinery such as excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. Emphasizing safety and productivity is a crucial component of this position.

Compensation

$25 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment in
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems efficiently
• Carry out thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on various heavy machinery
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs completed
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles
• The ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus
• Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
