Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients
- Drafting petitions for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies for consumers
- Appearing in court and before the court-appointed bankruptcy trustees
- Drafting motions and responses to motions
- Drafting letters and emails to clients, creditors, and other attorneys
- Managing cases to help clients get their bankruptcy discharge
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the Maryland Bar (or eligible for admission)
- Admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Maryland (or eligible for admission)
- Ability to work in person at our office in Towson, Maryland
- Good technology skills (we use a lot of software like Microsoft Office, BestCase bankruptcy software, PACER, and a custom CRM system)
