Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced painter to join our Heavy-Duty Truck Collision Repair facility in Valley Center. Our shop features state-of-the-art paint booths, and we are dedicated to restoring trucks to their original condition. ***WKI Kenworth will supply the required specialty tools. The selected candidate will need to provide their own basic hand tools, including but not limited to sockets, wrenches, and air tools.

Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in according to specifications.
- Repair vehicle per estimate according to manufacturer’s standards
- Checking parts against estimate
- Prepare vehicle for body and repair work
- Prepare, Mix and Match Paint with specified color
- Paint truck/truck parts in one of our two full paint booths
- Notify management of any additional repairs or difficulties with the repairs
- Maintaining tools and equipment in a proper state of repairs
- Comply with law and regulations pertaining to hazardous waste materials
Skills
- Ability to finish jobs in a timely manner
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mechanical Aptitude and/or welding a plus
- Axalta paint knowledge a plus
- Ability to mix your own paint, color match panels a plus
- Mechanical ability to disassemble and reassemble heavy duty trucks
License:
- Driver’s License (Required)

Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Full-time
- Overtime as required
- Occasional Saturdays as workload dictates
- This is an On-site role
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Valley Center, KS 67147: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
