WKW Extrusion in Portage, MI has opportunities for Shipping/Receiving Material Handlers on 1st shift.
Description:
- Responsible for the timely flow of parts going in and out of inventory and loaded onto trucks for shipment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities - (Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following):
- Put completed jobs into inventory location.
- Read picklists to pull and stage parts from inventory.
- Band & stage shipments.
- Load trucks for shipments.
- Drive forklift.
- Unload customer and vendor supply trucks.
- Empty garbage cans into hopper.
- Clean & organize ship floor.
- Weigh skids for shipment.
must have a valid driver's license
Job Requirements/Qualifications - (Requirements may be modified or amended for reasonable
accommodations):
- Knowledge of banding and stretch wrapping.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Job requires basic math, reading, and writing.
- Must be organized and a multi-tasker.
- Must accurately double-check counts with labels.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 - 75 pounds/ frequently lift 10 – 20 pounds.
- Valid forklift permit.
- Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental
Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015
