FUNCTION
The Seasonal Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons, employees, and company assets. This position is temporary for the Racing Season. Applicants will need availability from the end of April through July. Workdays will start at 08 : 00 AM and end at approximately 08 : 00 PM on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- The delivery of quality service and positive interaction with our customers is critical to the completion of all the tasks within this job description. The ability to greet all guest, vendors, and team members; while continuously maintaining the standards of excellence in presentation and professionalism. Guest Service is Team Member’s Job!
- Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help, determine course of action, notify appropriate authorities and assist as needed.
- Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
- Checking of valid identification to enter the event.
- Control access to designated areas.
- Monitor crowd behavior and maintain / restore crowd control throughout venue.
- Secure assigned post locations.
- Observe and report all incidents and accidents. Confront and resolve incidents to successful conclusion.
- Be diligent and vigilant in security and safety awareness.
- Be proactive in obtaining information in regards to post orders, revisions, and daily event needs, (i.e. parking lists and access changes).
- May be asked to operate a company vehicle and / or equipment that require a valid Driver’s License.
