Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring efficient production, safety, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will provide leadership to department managers and ensure alignment with company goals, operational efficiencies, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Essential Job Functions/Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Oversee department managers and ensure alignment with production schedules, customer requirements, and business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish, measure, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time delivery, quality standards, production efficiency, and cost control.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on workforce planning, hiring, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
- Partner with the Maintenance Department to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Manage plant budgets, monitor expenses, and work towards cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive safety initiatives and ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Provide leadership and development opportunities to department managers and plant staff.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to align plant operations with company goals and strategic initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 7 years of experience in manufacturing or plant management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards and compliance.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Experience managing multiple departments and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- Primarily plant-based with frequent interaction across departments and production areas.
- Exposure to machinery, production noise, and various environmental conditions.
- Physically demanding role requiring manual labor and standing for extended periods.
