Our Foam manufacturing facility located in Phoenix, AZ is currently hiring for a Foam Line Secondary Operator - Night Shift. This position is from 6PM to 2:30AM.
JOB SUMMARY
The Foam Line Secondary Operator - Night Shift plays a critical role in supporting our foam production process. This position is ideal for someone with leadership qualities and previous supervisory experience, accustomed to working independently in a fast-paced environment. The operator will be responsible for the overall operations of the foam line during the night, including setup, maintenance, and ensuring continuous production with high-quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Manage the foam line independently with minimal supervision, ensuring continuous and efficient production.
- Operate forklift with proficiency, particularly those equipped with big squeezer attachments, to move materials and manage inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, organize materials, and ensure all resources are available for production needs.
- Organize and stage saw work, maintain cleanliness of the foam line, and prepare materials for the next production cycle.
- Perform temperature probing of foam blocks to ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Responsible for opening and closing the facility, ensuring that all security and safety protocols are followed.
- Move materials between production areas and storage to optimize workflow and space utilization.
- Manage the filling and monitoring of chemical day tanks, operate drum tilter, and ensure blend tanks and chemical supplies are replenished during production.
- Assist with daily production tasks, including preparation of foam pours and addressing mechanical issues that arise during operations.
- Utilize forklift skills to support production tasks, including offloading chemical tanker trucks following appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, manage chemical spills, and ensure safe disposal of waste.
- Contribute to housekeeping activities during and after production runs.
- Assist with loading trucks for shipments, especially during non-production periods.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Minimize equipment downtime to maximize production efficiency.
- Timeliness and effectiveness of completing assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude, quick adaptability, and a collaborative mindset
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Operating in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and physical conditions.
- This position is physically demanding and involves working in a production environment.
