JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Representative is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, prospecting and closing new accounts, and ensuring the fulfillment of sales and service goals. The sales representative will work closely with the sales manager and the customer service department, to ensure all customers are satisfied and profit generating. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented professional with strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Develop and maintain good relationships with existing customers.
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities.
- Ensure customers have updated and correct pricing.
- Ensure customers have proper samples and supplies.
- Enter daily routes into customer maintenance program.
- Plan daily schedule in an efficient and organized manner.
- Help A/R department with collecting money owed to WT Burnett.
- Attend and contribute to monthly sales meeting and set and measure goals.
- Maintain Customer files.
- Consider new and creative outlets to sell WT Burnett goods.
- Be an expert in the urethane industry (training provided).
- Assist with customer service when necessary.
- Attend trade meetings and events.
- Other duties as assigned.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Sales revenue growth from new and existing customers.
- Customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Timely and accurate documentation of sales activities.
- Accuracy in pricing, order handling, and samples.
- Successful prospecting and closing of new business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years in outside sales
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Excellent at negotiating
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Excellent prospecting and follow up skills
- Able to work unsupervised
- Able to establish and maintain relationships with customer
- Above average writing, reading and arithmetic skills.
- Professional appearance
- Able to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and management
- Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must reside in the Phoenix area.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and prospects.
- Professional office environment with outdoor visits as necessary.
