Job Description
Technical Lab Associate
Duties
- Conduct laboratory activities in support of research and development efforts and production support
- Conduct QC testing and certification on production and customer supplied materials and specifications
- Troubleshoot production variability through iterative laboratory-scale testing and evaluation
- Work with fabrication staff and supervisors to process and certify finished materials through quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Interface with customer and vendors regarding analytical testing and certifications
- Maintain records of data generated from internal and external testing
- Produce and review analytical reports for internal and external use
- Assist in internal quality audits and enforcement of lab quality standards and procedures
Required qualifications and skills
- Bachelors of Science or Associates degree in Chemistry or other Physical Science and 1 year of experience working in laboratory setting
- Ability to perform independent experiments, and document and analyze experimental results
- Experience generating laboratory reports
- Ability to read specification documents and design experiments to qualify compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision and in a collaborative group environment
- Ability to communicate professionally with teammates, management, and customers
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
