I. Job Summary
Provides technical guidance and oversight to several Hazardous Waste Business Units with the Area to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and facility permits, as well as determine hazardous waste solutions to customer needs on an area level, including utilizing brokers.
II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the occasional management of supervisory employees. This includes:
Direct supervision of full-time employees

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of experience.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement).

- Assessing and determining business efficiency and solutions for all Hazardous BUs within the Area for all involved stakeholders
- Works in conjunction with Operations and EP Manager(s) on improvement of applicable process and treatment methods
- Provides regulatory and technical guidance to sales, approvals, customer service, and operations personnel.
- Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
- Works with regulatory agencies to obtain reasonable permit conditions and other requirements.
- Develops, implements, and maintains systems to support and monitor compliance and minimize risk.
- Reviews and signs environmental and other reports and project submittals.
- Reviews all waste approvals and provides second signature authorization.
- Provides technical assistance to operations to improve existing or develop new treatment methods. Develops and maintains written documents and/or plans.
- Maintains a technical communication network amongst various coordinators and participates in community out-reach efforts.
- Oversees personnel needs including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.
