Job Summary
The WMC Health Network is seeking a skilled Sr Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional patient care and lead our respiratory therapy team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality age-appropriate respiratory care to patients in accordance with established clinical procedures and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory care treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol prescriptions, and other interventions as required.
- Conduct routine equipment rounds to ensure the proper functioning of respiratory therapy equipment.
- Replace, clean, and store department equipment as needed.
- Respond to emergency codes and cardiopulmonary assistance requests.
- Annotate patient medical records and complete required paperwork in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1-3 years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
- Completion of an accredited two-year Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current NYS Respiratory Therapist License and BLS certification.
