Job Description
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. As a Senior Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing patient flow, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication between patients and practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient check-in/check-out process and complete necessary paperwork.
- Provide education on post-care instructions and healthcare responsibilities.
- Manage medical insurance information and obtain authorizations as needed.
- Oversee lab reports, consultations, and office notes for accurate chart placement.
- Pull charts for licensed practitioners or front desk staff as needed.
- Forward records to relevant parties as directed.
- Assist physicians with patient results and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies, immunizations, and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment.
- Log samples received, distributed, and expired items.
- Record injections and immunizations in medication logs and patient charts.
- Implement NYS immunization transmissions as necessary.
- Address patient inquiries and communicate with the Office Manager.
- Oversee daily schedules for physicians.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum of one year of customer service and/or medical office experience preferred. Medical Assistant experience preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
MA or Order entry certificate preferred.
