Your Impact:
At WNA Engineering, the ideal candidate will have the passion and the people skills to commission MEP building systems to effectively understand how to execute our vision and mission. Serving as the Commissioning Engineer/Agent, you will be an asset - leading the commissioning process and working alongside our Project Managers. The Commissioning Engineer/Agent will report to the Vice President of Engineering. This opportunity is available at either the Pittsburgh or Portersville office (Butler County).
Commissioning Engineer/Agent Priorities
- Lead the overall commissioning team and process
- Modify/develop project commissioning plans
- Participate in peer review of designs
- Review equipment submittals
- Conduct commissioning team meetings
- Conduct field inspections for conformance of the Construction Documents and submit corresponding reports
- Maintain an issues log of deficiencies
- Develop, witness and document functional test procedures
- Work together with our Engineers to trouble shoot
- Verify and witness owner training
- Write commissioning reports
Here's What You'll Need
- Level of Education equivalent:
- Associate/Technical Degree in Architectural, Construction, or Mechanical Engineering or,
- Minimum 5 years of experience attained through Practical Work Experience as a Controls Technician or HVAC Tradesman
- Level of Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Commissioning
- Minimum 4 Years of experience in the Construction Industry
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols a plus
- Ability to travel at least 50% or as per project needs
- Project Management and Mechanical Design experience a plus!
- Full-time position with In-office requirement Tuesday through Thursday
