WNA is seeking a Mechanical & Plumbing Design Engineer for the Portersville or Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will have a passion to design HVAC and plumbing systems for the building construction industry to effectively understand how to execute our vision and mission. Serving as the Mechanical & Plumbing Design Engineer, you will be an asset in supporting the design of our retail projects and meeting our longstanding clients' needs. The Mechanical & Plumbing Design Engineer will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering.

Mechanical & Plumbing Design Engineer's Priorities
- Assist in the design of various mechanical systems for building construction projects under the supervision of Project Leadership
- Develop accurate designs/drawings that comply with all applicable codes and company drafting standards, practices, and procedures
- Assist in the heating/cooling load calculations and building energy modeling
- Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, and undertake technical investigation studies
- Coordinate internally with the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design teams
- Participate in the QA/QC process, project time budgeting, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross-checking
- Coordinate with Code Officials and provide code summaries for projects
- Coordinate time and schedule to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Participate in all scheduled team communication, meetings, and trainings
What You Need
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an ABET Accredited College in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience (beyond college curriculum) designing commercial and retail mechanical systems including HVAC air, plumbing and water systems
- Relevant Work Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge in MEP building/energy codes, and working with Utility Companies and Local Municipalities
- High level of Personal Integrity, Professionalism and Honesty with one's own ability
- Excellent critical thinking skills and desire to collaborate and take on challenges
- Related Certifications or Experience in Fire Protection Design a plus!
- In-Office Availability: Tuesday through Thursday
