Your Impact:
At WNA Engineering, the ideal candidate will have a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and experience in the MEP construction industry to effectively understand how to execute our vision and mission. Serving as the Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, you will be an asset in supporting the design of a variety of projects from the many industries we serve. The Sr. Electrical Design Engineer will report directly to the Electrical Team Manager.
This opportunity is available at our Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Portersville, PA offices.
Electrical Design Engineer Priorities
- Lead in the design of commercial and industrial electrical power and other lighting projects under the supervision of the Project Manager and Principal In Charge (PIC)
- Develop accurate designs/drawings that comply with all applicable codes and company drafting standards, practices, and procedures
- Collaborate and coordinate internally with the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, and design teams
- Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, undertake technical investigation studies, and assist with power coordination studies.
- Participate in the QA/QC process, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross-checking
- Coordinate time and schedule to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Schedule and participate in all scheduled team communication, meetings, and trainings
- Be a contributor to the overall business development of the company
What You Need
- 8-20 years of electrical systems design experience for various industries (Commercial, Industrial, Education, Healthcare, etc.)
- Proficient and daily work experience using AutoCAD and Revit 2018 or newer
- Knowledge of building, utility, and energy codes
- Time Management and Situational Adaptability
- Interpersonal Communication and Integrity
- Coaching and Collaborative Mindset
- In-Office Availability: Tuesday through Thursday
- Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure preferred
