Job Summary
We are seeking NC PreK Teachers who will plan and implement learning experiences for children aged 0 to 5 years old.
Responsibilities
- Engage in classroom activities and teach in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program.
- Maintain a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.
- Plan and implement learning experiences as part of the Head Start curriculum that address physical health and development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognitive development.
- Create ongoing assessments of the growth and development of assigned children to form instruction and measure progress toward School Readiness Goals.
- Partner with families to develop positive, open, relationship-based two-way communication using home visits, parent/teacher conferences, and other communication tools.
- Establish procedures to support successful transitions for enrolled children and families into and out of Early Head Start.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field is required.
