We have several openings for Preschool Teachers.
Full -Time non-exempt positions: Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications; all jobs are paid hourly.
Infant Toddler Teacher (0 to 3 years) - 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday -Friday -12 months
Preschool Teacher (3 to 5 years) - 7:30 am-3:30 pm Monday - Friday -10 months
NC Pre K Teacher (4 years) - 7:30 am -3:30 pm Monday - Friday 10 month
NC Pre K Classroom Support (4 to 5 years) - 7:30 am-3:30 pm Monday - Friday -10 months
Teacher Assistant (3 to 5 years) - 7:30 am-3:30 pm Monday - Friday- 10 month
Preschool Center Floater - 7:30 to 3:30 Monday -Friday -12 month
Part-Time nonexempt positions: Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
Infant Toddler Support (0 to 3 years) - Part Time - Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Teacher responsibilities include:
- Engaging in classroom activities and teaching in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the WNCSource Head Start program building and maintaining a positive, nurturing, and supportive relationship with the children and families.
- Planning and implementing learning experiences as part of the Head Start curriculum that addresses physical health and development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognitive development.
- Creating ongoing assessments of the growth and development of assigned children to form instruction and measure progress toward School Readiness Goals.

What you will need
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED, and enrolled in EDU 119. Plan to work towards an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), or Infant Toddler Care Certificate
Preferred: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education
Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a related field.
