POSITION SUMMARY:

This innovative position supports comprehensive early childhood services across WNCSource Children's Services' four-county service area through advanced data analytics and systems development, with a significant focus on wrap-around programs including afterschool services in Henderson and Transylvania counties. Reporting to the Operations and Procurement Manager, this role strengthens program quality through data-informed decision making, particularly in analyzing and optimizing wrap-around services that support teacher planning time and program sustainability. The position unifies quality assurance and strategic resource management across Head Start, Early Head Start, NC PreK, and wrap-around services. Through the development of comprehensive monitoring systems and analytical approaches, this coordinator position ensures sustainable program operations while promoting excellence in early childhood education.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct regular CACFP compliance monitoring across program sites and support preparation and documentation for CACFP audits. Create efficient systems for tracking CACFP requirements and deadlines while monitoring and analyzing CACFP data to ensure program compliance.

  • Assist with CACFP application processes and reporting requirements while supporting sites with CACFP education and training needs. Develop tracking systems for CACFP documentation and ensure alignment between CACFP and program quality standards.
  • Lead analysis of wrap-around and afterschool programs to ensure sustainable operations. Analyze enrollment patterns and make recommendations for subsidy enrollment targets while collaborating with recruitment team to develop strategies for increasing subsidy enrollment.
  • Design staffing models that optimize teacher planning time while maintaining program viability. Monitor program costs, revenue, and enrollment metrics to inform program decisions.
  • Conduct interviews for Head Start, Early Head Start, and NC PreK teaching positions. Review and evaluate candidate transcripts and educational credentials while verifying qualifications meet program and licensing requirements.
  • Coordinate all staff travel arrangements for Head Start conferences and trainings. Research and secure cost-effective travel options including airfare, hotels, and ground transportation while analyzing costs and developing cost-saving strategies.
  • Coordinate placement of university/college classroom observers and student interns across sites. Ensure visitors and interns meet all background check and health/safety requirements while maintaining tracking systems for visitor compliance documentation.


EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field with a NC Child Care Administrator Credential, Level III. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.

EXPERIENCE:

Three years of experience in early childhood education program administration, preferably in an Early Head Start/Head Start setting. Experience with financial analysis, program compliance, and staff development preferred.
