What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthodontic Assistant position at Wnek Family Orthodontics?
We are a growing orthodontic practice looking for a superstar Smile Architect (chair-side orthodontic assistant) to join our team. We are looking for the right person to help us create amazing smiles and to promote our office culture and core values. We are a private practice specializing in orthodontics looking to add a team member to our family, not just an employee to punch the clock.
Your daily primary duty will be to make each patient’s visit to our office the BEST part of their day by delivering smiles while having fun. You must love getting to know all types of people, as the ability to communicate effectively and connect with patients and their parents is important.
We are looking for a team member with a magnetic personality who is focused on patient experience- an individual who is pleasant, outgoing, professional, efficient, detail-oriented, patient and understands the importance of teamwork.
We are looking for someone who loves to learn and who embraces challenges, change and growth. You must be self-motivated and proactive. Our office believes in continual personal and professional growth.
This position is for 3-4 days per week (24-32 hours). Flexibility is important as we grow. We are not open on weekends, but the position may require you to occasionally help after hours and/or on weekends to participate in marketing, promotional, continuing education and team building events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A current CDA or RDH license
- Radiology certification from the Indiana Department of Health
- Current CPR certification
- Experience taking digital panoramic and cephalometric radiographs, CBCT images, as well as intra-oral and extra-oral digital photography
- 1 year of full-time orthodontic experience within the last 2 years
- Experience working with Ortho2 Edge Practice Management System
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments
- Experience with Invisalign/SureSmile/clear aligner therapy
- Ability to fit & seat bands & appliances, as well as familiarity with direct bonding protocols
- Perform orthodontic adjustments, wire bending, etc.
