GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable department of approximately eight (8) employees, ensuring the accuracy of all accounts receivable and producing financial management reports for a non-for-profit agency serving multiple counties with a larger consumer base.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading and assisting the Accounts Receivable team with electronic billing for Medicaid and private insurance companies.
- Liaison between electronic billing company and the agency.
- Monitor and investigate accounts receivable discrepancies.
- Produce financial and management reports that provide accurate data pertaining to revenue and collection.
- Mapping and importing billing related data between the electronic billing and general ledger accounting systems.
- Ensure the accuracy of generated billing rates.
- Prepare entries to record account receivables and revenues to the appropriate accounts.
- Work with the Corporate Compliance team regarding internal audits including but not limited to investigations and resolutions of discrepancies.
- Oversee eligibility list for Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
- Assist with preparation of the annual cost report and external audit.
- Attend Agency’s in-service training and staff meetings as well as any other Agency-related activities as required.
- Assist in month end close as well as reconciliation of A/R accounts.
- Participate in maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work environment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- Professional and life experience may be considered in lieu of, in full or part of academic credentials.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (if required)
Two (2) - five (5) years of experience in an accounts receivable management role is required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must have intermediate level of knowledge of computers including the use of Excel spreadsheets, databases, word processing and networks.
- Perform in a professional, conscientious, and efficient manner for the purpose of ensuring a better quality of life for persons with disabilities.

CLASSIFICATION
Full-time, Salary, Exempt, Professional staff.
Range: $65,000-$75,000
