Job Description :
A Library Technology Clerk assists patrons in the use of library equipment and library-related technology in addition to performing routine circulation and clerical duties :
- Performs routine circulation, reserve and overdue functions;
- Assists patrons in sign in and use of library computers;
- Assists patrons with basic computer operations, such as use of Intranet, email, printing, and Microsoft software;
- Assists patrons in the use of library-related technology, such as e-readers and other handheld devices;
- Assists library patrons with library’s website, electronic catalog, self-checkout, photocopiers, facsimiles, and printers;
- Monitors library equipment for proper functioning;
- Provides verbal directions and instructions to patrons; Issues library cards according to library procedures;
- Assists with programming for the public;
- Performs additional duties as required.
