What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Case Manager, Summit Academy Enhanced position at WNYRIC Schools?
Summit Academy Enhanced provides intense behavior services to individuals that demonstrate challenging behaviors within a school setting. The school integrates a clinical approach for the functional analysis of targeted behaviors as well as safe and effective procedures to properly evaluate treatment interventions prior to classroom implementation. Additionally, the program aims to incorporate and generalize clinical treatment gains into a classroom setting where the student can participate fully and functionally in classroom activities for the student's overall benefit and well-being. Summit Academy Enhanced will also have the unique option of providing intense trainings for caregivers, staff, and outside providers to maintain consistency of our services across various settings and contexts.
The Clinical Case Manager is responsible for managing the full broad range of clinical duties, as well as special assignments. General duties include conducting descriptive analyses, functional behavioral assessments and functional analyses, and the development and implementation of interim behavioral protocols, behavior intervention plans, and behavior management plans within a clinical setting. The Clinical Case Manager will take a lead role in the conducting assessment and treatment sessions within controlled settings (i.e., treatment rooms) prior to generalization in the classrooms. The Clinical Case Manager will take lead role in the guidance of the duties of the Behavioral Support Specialists within treatment sessions and will work collaboratively with teams.
- Conduct and complete functional behavioral assessments
- Formulate function-based behavior intervention
- Develop and write required reports
- Measure progress and implementation fidelity for interim behavior protocols (IBPs), behavior management plans (BMPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Train staff in best practice methods for treatment sessions, including implementation of written protocols and data collection.
- Provide and oversee crisis intervention services for students
- Ensure that IEP and ISP mandates are fulfilled
- Maintain all records required
- Conduct all duties, responsibilities, and daily activities in accordance with current best practice and ethical guidelines

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in special education, school psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. BCBA or in process. Experience in developing and implementing behavioral support plans with developmentally disabled individuals using Applied Behavior Analysis methods.
