Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

All Shifts- Full time, Part time and Per Diem

$29-$45/HR

       An LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) plays a crucial role in healthcare by providing basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) or physicians. Here’s a general job description:

Pay Range: $29-45

Primary Responsibilities:

1.      Patient Care:

a.       Monitor patients’ health, including checking vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiration.

b.       Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed.

c.        Assist with wound care, catheterization, and other routine nursing tasks.

d.       Provide bedside care and comfort to patients.

2.      Patient Documentation:

a.       Record patient information accurately, including their medical histories, symptoms, and treatment progress.

b.       Update patient charts with changes in condition, administered treatments, and patient responses.

3.      Support for RNs and Physicians:

a.       Assist doctors and registered nurses with procedures, examinations, and patient care planning.

b.       Communicate any changes in patient condition to the RN or physician.

c.        Prepare and handle medical equipment for procedures.

4.      Patient Education and Support:

a.       Educate patients and their families about post-treatment care, medication, and health maintenance.

b.       Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring a compassionate and respectful environment.

5.      Compliance and Safety:

a.       Adhere to healthcare regulations and facility policies to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

b.       Follow infection control and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety.

Skills and Qualifications:

Licensure: Active state licensure as an LPN.

Certificates: CPR

Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program.

Skills: Strong communication, the ability to read, speak and write English, organizational

      skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting may be preferred but not always     

              required.

Woburn Nursing Center is a Reputable Facility providing Long/Short-term Care, Skill Nursing & Hospice services in a home-like setting which has just been newly renovated with a State-of-the-Art physical Therapy Room.
