What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Special Education Teacher- Strides Program position at Woburn Street School?
•Work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a substantially separate classroom.
•Implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and write, update, and monitor IEPs.
•Collect and analyze student data, maintain schedules, and facilitate annual IEP review meetings.
•Collaborate with district BCBA, school psychologist, classroom teachers, administration, and related service providers.
•Develop and implement individualized behavior plans in coordination with service providers.
•Supervise and direct educational assistants within the classroom.
•Provide training to educational assistants on behavior management and data collection techniques.
•Act as a liaison between families and the school to support student success.
•Conduct discrete trials and educational evaluations (e.g., WIAT, ABELS, Core Skills assessments).
•Implement and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
•Use the ACE program for data collection and goal-setting (preferred).
•Apply ABA methodology in the classroom environment.
•Maintain or obtain Active Safety Care Training & Certification (training provided if needed).
•Participate in a six-week summer program contingent upon student IEPs.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
