Job Summary:
This individual will work closely with the Director of Compliance and Senior Compliance staff to ensure all aspects of the Section 42 Tax Credit Program, Home, Rural Development, HUD, Bond, and Pra811 and all other program layering are met.
Reports To:
The Compliance Specialist reports to the Regional Vice President.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily file processing reviews for new move ins and re-certifications for those properties that participate in the housing programs of designated portfolio.
- Prepare and update Rent Schedules with income, rent and utility allowances.
- Track, review, and prepare Utility Allowances.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual reports requested from the city, county, state and other agencies.
- Aid in preparing for audits either internally or on site, when needed.
- Work closely with properties and managers in training and other areas in times of need.
- Monitor state agency websites to ensure we are using the most up-to-date forms and policies.
- Prepare in-house weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
- Track and monitor EIV compliance.
- Assist other departments in time of need.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 5 years of experience with government housing primarily the Section 42 Tax Credit Program, Rural Development, HUD, HOME, Pra811 or other programs as Compliance Specialist, or Affordable Community Manager required.
- HCCP, SCHM, TCS, RD, COS designations preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- A minimum of two days of travel to sites with notice required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
